JUST LIKE
Just like last night,
the stars and their stories,
the old monk said.

IF YOU'RE WORRIED
If you're worried
about what you're
going to say,
skip rehearsal --
just say it,
the old monk says.

IF SHE LIVES
If she lives
across the river,
is she really
one of ours,
that poet,
the old monk asked.
