HOW MANY WORDS
How many words
can you bend,
how many ways
can you bend them,
the old monk asked
the poet.

YESTERDAY
Yesterday
is always better
than today
and tomorrow
is even better
than that,
the old monk said,
speaking generally.

The poet
judges his students.
The old monk
judges the poet.
Who judges
the old monk?
The students.
