THREE OLD MONK POEMS (130)
SOME GO
Some go into
the desert
to choose their silence.
Some go up
the mountain.
Those who find it
do not return,
the old monk says.
~
MAKE WAY
Make way. Make way,
the old monk says.
Let me say
what I have to
before the wind
comes up the mountain.
~
I HAVE GONE
I have gone up
the mountain
and have spoken
with silence and
now I can say
what I have to,
the old monk
told his students.
