ALMOST WISDOM
Almost wisdom,
the master said before
he dismissed it,
the old monk's poem.

PAST OR PRESENT
Past or present
is not tomorrow
until tomorrow,
the old monk said.

I DON'T KNOW
I don't know how
he does that --
it's like he lays
down and dies
and leaves these
grease-stained poems,
the student said
about the old monk.
