THREE OLD MONK POEMS (3)
SOME OF US
Some of us are meant
to find the way,
the old monk said,
and others are meant
to carry our burden.
~
WHEN YOUR PARACHUTE
When your parachute
doesn't open,
the old monk says,
you have one chance
to learn to fly.
~
SINGING YOUR WAY
Singing your way
up the mountain,
the old monk says,
is the way you
warn the hermits
you're coming.
Singing down
the mountain is your
way to say good-bye.
